This is the instructor-led version of the module, designed to be facilitated by an instructor over the course of ca. 13-15 weeks with synchronous (online or face-to-face) and asynchronous components and with a group project component (based on how it has been taught at the University of Leipzig, Germany).

    • In this week, we will explore the theme of cooperation and its importance in sustainability.

      • Concepts: Social Dilemma, Cooperation, Conflict, Fairness, Autonomy

      • Competencies: cooperation competency, evaluation competency

      • Conceptual questions:

        • Are humans a cooperative species?

        • What is the role of cooperation in sustainable development?

        • What conditions and behaviors allow humans to overcome social dilemmas and cooperate towards shared goals?

      In this activity, students sort a range of different examples from across contexts (country, school, organization or company) into examples of good or poor implementation of the design principles for cooperation. This activity covers Design Principles 1-3. This activity has a few less sorting options than the previous one, focusing on examples from school and national government.
